History

The city has a population of around 2,000. It is located in the north-east of the city, on the edge of the Dales, and is on the border of the Forest of Gisborne. It was founded by the Great Northern Railways in 1904, and was named after the businessman who set it up. The town's name means 'city of the stars' in German, and means 'City of the Stars' in English. It also means 'home of the great and good' or 'Home of the beautiful' in the German language. It has been known to host major sporting events such as the Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympics, and has been the home of a number of professional sports teams, including the German Tennis Association and the German Football Association. It's also known to be a popular tourist destination, especially in the summer months when the city's population is at its peak. It lies on the banks of the River Ems, which runs through the town of Portal, and the River Dales in the south-eastern part of the town, which was once known as the "Dales of the North" The city's name is derived from the German word "crosby" which means 'town' and 'crest'.

It has a population of 2,788. The population of Crosby was 2,838 in the 2010 Census. The U.N. World Heritage Site is in the city, which is located in the Ohio Valley. The United States Census Bureau has a site in the town, which was founded in 1881. It was named after the town's founder, George W. Crosby, who was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives from 1881 to 1883. The current mayor of the town is Robert W. "Bob" Smith, who has been in office since 1978. He was elected to a third term in 2010, the first woman to hold the post in the history of Crosby, and the first Republican to do so.
